Elisha Butler, an old and respected citizen of Westville, died last Thursday morning after a short illness with consumption. He was about 65 years of age. When the civil war broke out he went as a volunteer and was present in many of the important battles. He had many friends and was held in high esteem by all. His death will be deeply mourned by all in the community. Besides a wife he is survived by two sons, Ernest and Fred Butler. Elder John H. Evans conducted the funeral services which were held Saturday morning at 11 o’clock.
