Death of Rollin M. Carl, Veteran of Civil War, and Mason

Bristol, Dec. 15. - Rollin M. Carl, a veteran of the rebellion, died at his home on Pleasant street Monday after an illness of several weeks. He was born in Starksboro 75 years ago and resided in that town until 22 years ago when he moved to Bristol where he had since resided. He was a member of Co. D, 10th Vt. Vols., also a member of Libanus lodge of Masons. He was a man highly respected among his fellowmen. The funeral will be held from the house at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Stone of the Methodist church will officiate.
