Augustus H. Collins
LAMOILLE NEWSDEALER: April 20, 1864
In Stowe, April 9th, Augustus H. Collins, aged 21 years
He was a member of Co. G. 2nd Vermont Regiment, and had just re-enlisted for another three year service. When here, upon his furlough, he was attacked with the scarlet fever, and died in the house of F.J. Mower. Though he had here no relatives he was yet among friends who respected, loved, and kindly cared for him, and who sincerely lament his loss.Submitted by: Deanna French.
