On the return of the battery to Camp Barry, June 26, 1863, he was sent to post hospital, remaining there until his regiment was mustered out of service, July 10, 1863.

THE 100th DEATH
Died April 27th at the Vermont Soldiers' Home, John Connelly, late Co. C, 14th Vermont Infantry and Co. G, 1st Vermont Cavalry, aged 60 years. Enlisted at Arlington. Admitted June 11, 1890, and re-admitted March 27th, 1890. Death No. 100.
