Obituary

Asa E. Corliss

Last Civil War Veteran of North Fayston Dies at Jericho.

DUXBURY. Jan. 5 - Asa E. Corliss died at the home of his son, Ralph, in Jericho at 9 o'clock last night.

Mr. Corliss was born in Duxbury November 7, 1844 and was the last surviving Civil War veteran of North Fayston. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Ralph of Jericho and Ray of Brattleboro, four grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at South Duxbury Congregational church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in South Duxbury cemetery.
