Isaac Cowen
At the hospital at Brattleboro, Aug. 24th, of chronic diarrhea, Isaac Cowen, aged 24 years, 10 months.
Mr. C. enlisted in his country's service and shared the toils and privations of a soldier's life with his comrades in the 3rd regiment, among whom his patriotism and moral worth secured to himself an honorable position. His remains were brought here where his funeral services were attended. Although dead, he lives in the hearts of all who knew him.
Waterville, Sept. 5, 1863.
