Rutland Daily Herald, June 3, 1916:

Wallingford - Edwin M. Crary, 77 years old, died at his home Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a long illness. Mr. Crary was born in Wallingford and had spent his life here. He was a Civil war veteran, being a member of Company B, 14th Vermont regiment. He was the oldest Mason of Chipman lodge. He is survived by his wife. The funeral will be held Sunday at his late home at 2 o'clock and will be in charge of the Masons.
