This makes no sense. On 4/20/1907, Cummings applies for a pension from Colorado. He appears in the 1910 Census in Oelrichs, Fall River County, SD with his wife Jannette. He is listed in the 1920 Census of Eagle Point, Jackson County, OR; his wife is now Louise. A headstone application lists his date of death as Nov. 19, 1928. But his first known wife Janette applied for a widow's pension in 1892, and was apparently approved.
