Obituary

Funeral of a Soldier. - We learn by letter from Middletown, that a large concourse of citizens assembled at the Baptist church, in that place, October 5th, for the purpose of attending the funeral of Charles Dayton, a member of Co. C, 10th Regiment of Vermont Volunteers, who died at Camp Briggs, Md., September 26th, of Typhoid fever, at the age of 18 years. He was a young man of great worth, and had been absent from home only four weeks. He leaves a mother and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.
