Obituary
Belmont
The funeral of Alonzo Doty, who died March 29 after being ill all winter, was held at the church, Rev. J. Berger officiating. Among those present from out of town were Fred Doty of Winchester, N. H., Charles M. Cobb and son, Howland, Mr. and Mrs. E. Martel of Rutland, Mrs. Lapoint of Ludlow and Elmer Doty of East Wallingford. Mr. Doty was 81 years of age. He was a Civil war veteran, having served three years in Company H, 1st Vermont cavalry. He is survived by two sons, Fred of Winchester, N. H., and Harry of this place, and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Cobb of Rutland.
