We believe that an individual named Edwin B. Parker feloniously applied for this soldier's pension after the soldier had died, and was identified as an imposter. AFTER all valid pensions for our soldiers have been documented, we will research this further.

Deaths. ELLIOTT - In Mendon on the 11th inst., of consumption, contracted while in the service of the United States, in the 7th Vt. Vols., George M., son of Martin D. Elliott of this place, aged 21 years and 10 months.
Funeral from his late residence in Mendon, tomorrow (Friday) at 10 o'clock a.m.
