John Fox, a well known inmate of the soldiers' home in Bennington, died June 7 of heart disease, with which he had been afflicted for some time. He was nearly seventy years old and entered the home from Bennington a few years ago. During the civil war he was a member of Co. K, 2nd Vt. Vols.
