Obituary
Plainfield
After a most distressing illness of more than a year's duration, Thomas R. Gibson, a veteran of the war of the rebellion, peacefully passed out of the mortal into the immortal life, Monday evening, Oct. 24, aged seventy years. The funeral services were largely attended by relatives and neighbors at his late residence, Wednesday afternoon. Rev. L. F. Fortney was assisted in the services by Rev. Dr. Cooper. The interment was in the village cemetery.
