July 11, 1863At Hampton Hospital, Va., June 21, of typhoid fever and chronic diarrhea, Willie A. Learned, aged 16 years and 11 months, a member of Co. G, 9th Reg't Vt. Vols.
In New Orleans, May 1st of fever, Cornelius Gould, aged 19 years, a brave soldier of hte 1st VT. Battery.
Killed on Skirmish Line near Fredericksburgh, June 6, David Jesmer, of Co. I, 6th Vt. Reg., and formerly of Hartland, aged 35 years and 10 mos. (In Vermont records, he married Sarah A. Stafford on Nov. 14, 1855 in Woodstock, VT. - confirmed by pension record)Contributed by Cathy Hoyt.
