Obituary
David E. Downer, aged 72 years, who died in Brattleboro recently, was a veteran of the Civil War. He was born in Shaftsbury July 19, 1835, and August 14, 1861, was commissioned corporal of Company A, 4th Vt. Regt. he was wounded May 4, 1863, transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps April 10, 1864, and discharged September 20, 1864.
