Ira F. Grout
Lamoille Newsdealer: Dec. 25, 1867
In Wolcott, Nov. 5th, Mr. Ira F. Grout, in the 37th year of his age.
This brother faithfully served his country in the War of the Rebellion, and came home with impaired health. He suffered long but patiently, and died in the glorious trimuphs of that christian which sees a home for all those in heaven
May the mourning parents, brothers, and other relatives find ample consolation in the gospel of Jesus. May they remember that:" Heaven is the land where troubles cease
Where toils and tears are o:er-
The blissful clime of rest and peace,
Where cares distract no more,
And not the shadow of distress,
Dims its unsullied blessedness. "Submitted by: Deanna French.
