Thomas Hale, an aged resident of this town, died on Thursday night of last week and was buried from his late home Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Alexander McKinley officiating. The interment was at Maria Grove cemetery. Mr. Hale was a veteran of the Civil War and has been a sufferer ever since. For the last two years he has been confined to the house and was for many months helpless. He leaves a wife who will go soon to Proctor to reside with her daughter.
