Lorenzo Durkee

Rutland Daily Herald, Dec. 29, 1902:

Lorenzo T. Durkee of No. 9 Elm street was found dead in bed by his wife about 8.30 o'clock Saturday morning. His death was caused by heart disease, of which he has been a sufferer for the last three years. He was 68 years of age, having been born in Montague, Mass., June 9, 1834. He has been a resident of this city for the greater part of his life, although he lived in Plattsburgh, N. Y. for 14 years. Besides the wife he leaves two brothers, Elliot D. Durkee of Orange, Mass., and Oscar F. Durkee of Northfield Farms, Mass. The funeral will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock.
