George S. Herrick, nearly a lifelong resident of Middlesex, died at the soldiers' home in Togus, Me., where he had been for five years, being in poor health most of the time. Mr. Herrick was 75 years old and is survived by two children. He was a member of Company C, Fourth Vermont, of the Third battery in the Civil War.Contributed by Tom Boudreau.
