Capt. Edwin C. Emmons passed away last week Thursday evening after a long illness. The funeral was held from his home Saturday at 2 p. m., Rev. E. R. Phillips officiating. Mr. Emmons was the oldest person on town, being in his 88th year. G. A. R. Post, No. 82, and the Free Masons, both of which he was a member attended in a body. He is survived by his widow.
