Obituary
Orrin C. Hughes, assistant manager of Hotel Barre, and Mrs. Hughes returned last evening from Burlington, where they were called by the illness and death of Mr. Hughes' father, Charles Hughes, who passed away Sunday. The deceased was 72 years old, a native of Burlington and a veteran of the Civil war, having served in the 1st Vermont regiment. Three of his four sons surviving are with the American armies in France.
