Henry Huntington

Rutland Daily Herald, May 14, 1919:

Wallingford - Henry Huntington died early Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Miner. Mrs. Miner went to call her father about 7 o'clock and found he had died in his sleep. Mr. Huntington had been in failing health for two years, but for some months had been much better and able to do some work and Monday seemed as well as usual. Mr. Huntington was 80 years old. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Miner, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Albert Knights of Rutland, three grandchildren, Elinor Gillis, Laura and Robert Knights, and two great grandchildren, Madeline and Frederick Cox. Mr. Huntington was a Civil war veteran, was in Co. B., 14th Vermont regiment. The funeral will be held in the Congregational church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Stannard camp, Sons of Veterans, will have charge of the service. Burial will be in Green Hill cemetery.
