Obituary

WEST NORTHFIELD

West Northfield, July 9. - Rufus E. Irish, aged 70 years, died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alvah Cook, after a four days' illness of pneumonia. Mr. Smith had lived in Northfield several years and won the respect of all who knew him. He served three years in the Civil War and was a member of the G. A. R. He is survived by a wife and four children, Mrs. C. E. Lamson and Herbert Irish of Hinesburgh and Mrs. Alvah Cook and Stacey Irish of Northfield.
