Remarks: WPA Graves Registration Card includes burial location.
There is a grave marker at Chalmette National Cemetery with the inscription "Alonzo Jones VT". His name also appears in the National Gravesite Locator as being buried at Chalmette and the record includes his Vermont service. However, we have discovered that this soldier is actually buried in Middlesex, Vermont and did not pass on until much later, August 10, 1892. The records below have been included to correct these past discrepancies.
