William Jones died at the Soldiers' Home Friday afternoon. He served in Co. I, 17th Vt., from March 21, 1864 to July 14, 1865. He was born in Poultney in June, 1844, consequently he was a little over 74 years of age. He came to the home May 31. The body was taken to Brandon for burial.
