Obituary

The funeral of Sanford H. Kent, whose death occurred at his home on Main Street Saturday night, was held from the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C. L. Paddock pastor of the Universalist church officiating. Interment was in Elmwood cemetery. The deceased was born in Warren, 83 years ago, and married Viletta M. Thayer of Randolph, who died in 1907. Three sons and three daughters survive that marriage. In 1911 he married Estella M. Clark, who survives. Mr. Kent was a veteran of the Civil war and one of Northfield's oldest residents. For 20 years he was health officer and trial justice and held other offices in the town.
