Elbert R. Leet
Elbert R. Leet, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home on Bristed Flats Wednesday night after an illness of several months with Bright's disease. Mr. Leet was a member of the First Vermont cavalry, enlisting from Burlington, November 21,1863 and being mustered out August 9, 1865. He was a member of Libanua Lodge, F. & A.M. Mr. Leet's attorney, G.W. Snedon, received notice Wednesday that Mr. Leet's pension had been increased to $12 a month.Courtesy of Tom Boudreau.
