Henry Lewis's brother Uriah was also a veteran (U.S. Navy), but was born in New Hampshire and died and buried in New York. His descendant Deborah Brown kindly gave us this timeline of Uriah's service:
1837, Feb 18 -- Born in Littleton, NH.
1854-1862 -- Served on the crew of the whaling ships "Elisha Dunbar" and "Coral".
1862, May 27 -- Age 28 at enlistment in US Navy for a term of 2 years as an ordinary seaman, born Littleton, N.H.; hazel eyes, dark hair, 5' 3" tall. Served on the USS Ohio.
1862, Jun 10 -- Transferred to the USS Planter.
1862, Sep 10 -- Transferred to the USS Vermont.
1862, Dec 2 -- Transferred to the USS Vandalia.
1862, Dec 29 -- Transferred to the USS Dandelion as Ordinary Seaman and Quartermaster.
1864, Jun 30 -- Transferred to the USS Savannah.
1864, Aug 6 -- Honorable discharge from Navy at Brooklyn Navy Yard, NY.
