Obituary

John C. Lougee, aged 73 years, died at the home of Phil Clough April 25 of heart disease. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served in Co. D, 12th Reg. Vt. Vol. He had been married four times, his last wife surviving him. He left four children – Mrs. W. D. Hook of this town, Willis E. Lougee of New York, Louis M. Lougee of Tunbridge and Mrs. Frank Allen of Candia, N. H. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church. Rev. L. N. Moody officiating, and was attended by several old veterans who had been members of his company and regiment. He was buried in the cemetery at North Tunbridge near H. O. Flint's.
