Obituary

Royalton

After a long and distressing illness, James S. Freelan, passed away Monday forenoon. Funeral services were held at his late home yesterday at 1 o'clock, Revs. C. E. Beals and Levi Wild officiating. Interment was beside his wife in the cemetery near Findley bridge in Bethel. During his long life of more than 80 years, Mr. Freelan was a kind husband and father, a loyal friend, a good neighbor and a public-spirited citizen. His last years were made comfortable by the faithful care of Mrs. Mary Sargent. A more extended notice of his life will be given later.
