Obituary
Steele McAllister died last Wednesday at the hoe of his son, Van McAllister, in our village, after a long illness. He was a veteran of the civil war, had been drawing a pension of $30 a month. His life had been lived in Chelsea, or Washington largely, till advancing years and ill health brought him here to live with his son. His second wife was the widow of the late Mr. Davenport. He was upwards of seventy years of age and was buried in Chelsea.
