Lafayette F. Morey

Rutland Daily Herald, March 16, 1920:

Lafayette F. Morey, aged 73, died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of his niece, Mrs. Frank McKean of Baxter street, after a short illness with heart disease. He had been a resident of Rutland for more than 35 years and was a well known marble worker, having been recently employed by the United Marble company.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Day of this city and Mrs. Lucius Hathaway of Burlington. He was a member of Roberts post, G.A.R., having been a member of Company A., 7th Vermont Regiment. The funeral services will be held at the house, 32 Baxter street, Thursday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock, followed by burial in Evergreen cemetery.
