Death of Charles A. Pettingill
Word has been received in this city of the death of Charles A. Pettingill which occurred in the soldiers' home at Togus, Me., the cause of death being cerebral hemorrhage. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon April 14, and the burial took place in the soldiers' home cemetery. Mr. Pettingill was 66 years, four months, 18 days old and served in Company A, 12th Vt. Regt. During the Civil War.Contributed by Tom Boudreau.
