John W. Preston Died Suddenly at His Home, Duxbury Corners.
Waterbury, Dec. 31. – John W. Preston passed away at his home at Duxbury Corners at nine o'clock this morning very suddenly. He was a veteran of the Civil war and is survived by his widow, Emma Davis Scott, to whom he was married about thirty-one years ago. He has been a resident here for many years. His first wife was Julia Sprague who died about thirty-five years ago.
