D.O. Robinson
Daniel Orlando Robinson, one of Bridgewater's most respected citizens, died January 23, aged 64 years. He had been in poor health for several years. He was a successful businessman and had a large acquaintance. From 1886-1895 he served his town as first selectman, his good judgment and business ability being recognized by all. He was a veteran of the Civil war and a member of the Masonic lodge of Woodstock. In politics he was a Democrat, and was several times the candidate of that party for town representative. In 1890, although in a strong Republican town, he lacked only two votes of being elected.
