South Royalton Notes
Riley Rogers of North Royalton died last Sunday morning after a two weeks' illness of cystitis and brain trouble. He was a soldier in the army of the Potomac, a member of Co. E, First Vt. Cavalry, and served from Oct. 1, '61 to Nov. 18 '64. He leaves a wife, son, and daughter the youngest 14 years of age. The funeral was held at his late home Tuesday, Rev. W. E. Mann officiating. Quite a number of his comrades attended the funeral. He was 57 years of age.
