Obituary

Harley Sherman

Harley Sherman, age 78, died at Cambridge Junction this morning where he was visiting his grandson, Harley N, Sherman. The remains were brought to his late home, 16 Green street. Mr. Sherman was a native of Hinesburg.

Mr. Sherman was a veteran of the Civil War. He enlisted in 1861 in Company A. 6th Vermont volunteers and he served four years. He was a member of Stannard Post G.A.R. He was also a member of Hamilton Lodge of Odd Fellows. Mr. Sherman was a faithful member of the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, Herbert B. Of this city and F. E. Sherman of Huntington and by five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the home Friday at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Green Mountain cemetery.
