Obituary
Northfield Notes
John Q. Silver, one of Northfield's old citizens, died last Thursday, at the age of about 65 years. He has been in feeble health for some time, due to a cancer in the throat, and that caused his death. He was a member of the G. A. R., and his comrades of that organization went to his late home last Saturday and took part in his funeral exercises. Rev. C. R. East officiated, and the interment was made at the Center. One son survives him.
