POST MILLS --- The earthly life of Albert D. Slack closed on the morning of the 9th, inst. He returned to his home on the 7th seriously ill with pneumonia, and forty hours later passed beyond.

For more than twenty years Mr. Slack was connected with the mercantile house of C. M. Lee, of Boston, until failing health obliged him to relinquish his position.

Since early manhood he had been a member of Jackson Lodge, F. & A.M., of West Fairlee; was also one of the charter members of E. B. Frost Post, G.A.R.

Mr. Frost leaves a widow, one son and a daughter; also an aged mother who has nearly reached her four-score and ten.
