Obituary

"VERN" SMITH DEAD.

Northfield, March 24. - Vernon W. Smith died this morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Blaine, on South Main street, at 1 o'clock, after a painful illness of cancer of the liver. His age was in the vicinity of sixty-five years and he is survived by the above mentioned sister and a brother, Ai Smith of this town. Mr. Smith was a well known citizen of Northfield having lived here for a number of years. Funeral arrangements as yet are not completed.
