For James H. Somerville, Civil War Veteran.

The funeral of James H. Somerville, who died Sunday evening, May 10, at his home in North Fayston, was held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the village church. Rev. Mr. Knapp of Montpelier officiated. Relatives and friends brought many beautiful flowers. Mr. Somerville was born May 28, 1844, and was a member of the G.A.R., having gone forward with the Sixth Vermont regiment. After the Civil war he settled in Fayston, where he lived until his death. Those from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Somerville of Worcester, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Somerville of Lawrence, Mass., Mrs. P.B. Gould of Burlington and J.C. Harris of Barre.
