North Adams Transcript

Thursday - 2 Feb 1899

North Pownal - Thomas D. Sprague died at the home of his daughter at North Pownal, Vt., January 22, aged 75 years and ten months. He served in the Civil war in the 10th Vermont regiment, volunteers. He received an injury to his right knee while in the service and has been a sufferer ever since. He professed conversion and was baptized by Mr. Garretson. The end came very peacefully at the last. He leaves five children, Mrs. S.R. Temple, Savoy; Mrs. S.J. Dean, North Pownal, Vt.; C.T. Sprague, Adams; E.C. Sprague, North Adams, and G.F. Sprague, Rockville, Conn., also one brother C.H. Sprague, Bakersville, Conn.
