Obituary
NORTHFIELD VETERAN DEAD
William Wells Stevens Passed Away ThursdayNorthfield, Oct. 20. - William Wells Stevens, who has been in poor health for some time, passed away Thursday at the home of his son, Arthur Stevens, on Main street, where he had been for some time.
The deceased was 81 years of age and a veteran of the Civil war. He is survived by four sons, Arthur, Carl, Charles and William Stevens. Mr. Stevens was born in Strafford, but had been a resident of Northfield for many years.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of his son, Rev. W. C. Arnold, pastor of the local Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
