Obituary
Silas Thompson died at the home of Charles Shortsleeves Wednesday morning Feb. 23. Mr., Thompson was 80 years old and a Civil war veteran. He came here from South Starksboro recently to make his home with Charles Shortsleeves and family. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church. The Rev. W. C. Rogers of Starksboro officiated. The remains were taken to South Starksboro for interment.
