Henry Titus, an old resident of this town, died at his home on Tuesday night, Nov. 7th, after an illness of many months. He has been tenderly cared for by his daughter, Mrs. Peasley of Springfield, Mass. Mr. Titus has held many town offices and has also represented out town in the Legislature at Montpelier. He was a veteran of the Civil War. A Masonic funeral was held at the church Thursday p.m. Rev.J.J. Snellgrove preached a fine sermon, after which the burial service was held in the church instead of the grave owing to the coldness of the day. The interment was at Post Mills cemetery in charge of G.M. Wilson, Undertaker. He leaves an invalid wife, one daughter, two sons, one granddaughter and two grandsons.
