Death of William A. Townsend
Word has been received of the death at the State Soldiers' home in Wisconsin of William A. Townsend, aged 72 years. Mr. Townsend was born in this village, being a son of Calvin Townsend. He served three years in the Civil war, being a member of Co. C, 10th Vermont Volunteers. He is survived by his wife, three sisters, Miss Lydia Townsend of St. Louis, Mo., Miss Clara of Pittsford and Miss Charlotte Townsend of this place.
