Obituary
Nathaniel Towsley Dies in Manchester
Manchester, July 1. - Nathaniel Towsley, 87, died last night at his home here after a short illness. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having enlisted at the age of 23 in Company C, 14th Vermont infantry and later in the First Vermont Cavalry. He took part in the battles of Gettysburg and Appamattox Court house as well as in many other.
He is survived by three sons, Clarence, Albert and Roscoe, all of Manchester and by two daughters, Lilly and Mrs. B. E. Bell of Los Angeles, Cal. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from his late home. Burial will be in Dellwood cemetery.
