Obituary

P. C. Wetmore Dies.

Philander C. Wetmore, age 81, died at the home of his son,. Charles A. Wetmore on Maple street, Sunday. He was born in Ira, son of Uriah and Elizabeth (Goodspeed) Wetmore. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served with Company C, 10th Vermont Infantry, 1862-1865 and was member of E. J. Ormsbee Post G.A.R., Brandon. He is survived by two sons, Charles A. Of Brandon and John D. Of Rutland, 11 grandchildren; two brothers also survive, Ezra of West Rutland and Joseph of Hartford, Conn. Funeral services will be held at the Congregational chapel this afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. Walter Thorpe will officiate, E. J. Ormsbee Post G.A.R., will conduct the committal services at the grave at Pine Hill cemetery, Brandon.
