Obituary
Lieut. John E. McGinnis, Co. C, 9th Vt. Vols., formerly of Rutland, did at Portsmouth, Va., Nov. 10Th, at which place that regiment is now stationed. Lieut. McGinnis, though quite young, had raised from the ranks to First Lieut. And possessed superior qualities as a soldier.
