BRISTOL
Death of Addison C. Benedict, Civil War Veteran.Addison C. Benedict died at his home west of the village Thursday morning after an illness of several years with dropsy. He had a shock two weeks ago that hastened his death. He was a veteran of the Civil War, serving two enlistments in Company F, Second sharpshooters, and in Company L, First Vermont cavalry. After leaving the service he studied law, was admitted to the bar in Wisconsin, returned East and practiced law here for several years. He is survived by his wife and several children.
